Manifesting on a moon cycle

Working with my feminine energy (not least to give the feminine within me a little more air time) has been my personal focus for the last few years.

I know that I feel more comfortable in my feminine energy (although don't worry, I still like using my action-oriented, strategy-focused masculine energy as well!) so I have been consciously playing with different ways of living and working to embody this more fully.

One of the ways I been doing that is by working with moon cycles to create what I want.

Forgive me for stating the obvious, but working with the moon cycle is not like working with a sun cycle. The sun cycle is one day and one night, which most of us work to anyway, unless you work nightshifts. The moon cycle is different - she works on a 29.5 day cycle. New moon to full moon and back again to new moon.

There are several phases in between those two main phases (the ones most of us know about) and each phase can invite us into a specific way of being and acting.

Most of us are required to know or remember the moon phases (unlike previous eras) but in losing this knowledge and orientation to the moon, I believe we're missing out.

In learning how to work with the moon cycles (and other feminine practices), I have seen wonderful changes in my life, not least finally moving to an area of the UK that I love (and have wanted to move for a long time), feeling aligned in my career and direction, bringing new friends and relationships into my life and dealing with past issues and obstacles that have hindered me for years!

Today, for example, marks the full moon of the current cycle. This can be a good time to take action in support of your intention (made at the beginning of the cycle), to come into being.

One of the reasons I love working with the moon (rather than the calendars we make or follow) is that it FEELS so much easier to bring things into existence - and it all seems to happen in a way that feels good.

There's fewer complicated spreadsheets (and I love a spreadsheet!) and more receiving in my experience!

Don't get me wrong, sometimes it's uncomfortable (like any change or growth) and it requires patience and commitment.

However, I seem to DO less, and everything flows better. It's taken me some practice, but it feels more 'in flow' every cycle that passes. I work with a dated moon journal that I created for myself so I can keep track of where I am in the cycle.

It feels magical, but really it's just working with nature in the way that perhaps our ancestors did, but we have forgotten.
